I run SBS on a spare Dell Mini 9 netbook that I had lying around. The nice thing about this model is that it uses a small (4GB) SSD drive, so the machine is 100% silent when idle. For music storage, I bought a 640GB notebook drive, put it in a copper external case, and have that running off USB bus power. The drive spins up when music is needed, but that's essentially noiseless, too. I have it set to spin down when it hasn't been used for 20 minutes. No, it's not exactly the ideal server solution, but considering it was pretty much made from parts that I had lying around, it tucks in nicely behind things, and it's silent, I'm perfectly satisfied with it.
Be a little wary of some of the netbook and nettop machines out there because many have small fans that might drive you crazy after a while.
