I get your point. It sounds like someoen may have oversold the Touch a
little. Maybe someone can help you, there is an entry in the
server.prefs file for TinySC called "autorescan" with a value of "1",
but it may only control whether it periodically rescans the drive. Not
sure whether it affects scans on reconnection, or whether rescanning is
the issue, or simply reloading the Database?

You can try editing the server.prefs file if you are brave, to see if
it helps! You will need WinSCP or equivalent to connect.

- WinSCP "File Protocol" needs to be "SCP"
- Portnumber is "22"
- Username is "root"
- Password is "1234"

- The file is in folder "/etc/squeezecenter/prefs"
- Copy the file to your PC first and keep an original safe, in case of
problems!

- I used a free tool called "Diffmerge" to compare versions with my SBS
server and edit. Much easier than trying with Notepad! You need to set
"Multi-line Intra-Line Analysis Detail Level" in options to "Complete"
to get a good view
- Look for "autorescan: 1" (ignore "_ts_autorescan") and change to "0"
(I guess)

....or wait for someone to, hopefully, give you a definitive answer!
