I've also considered a server (2tb) with a squeezeboxserver. Logitech told me that the internal server can also be used wiht external HDD up to 2tb but they didn't told me that it would take 5 minutes to start the music! 60% of the time I listen to the radio so a server that runs 24/7 is a bit to much. And I've just bought a external HDD for 80. Is there a way to speed up the Squeezebox with external HDD and disable the scan for new files??
