Question from Holland. I'm running the Squeezebox Touch with an external harddisk, samsung story 1tb. At the moment only 75 albums in flac with art (300x300). I've created directories and subdirectories.
My question; when I turn on my harddisk, the Touch "connects to USB-drive". This proces takes around 30 seconds. Then I select the USB-drive in the menu and start the Squeezebox server. This proces takes around 2 minutes. After starting the internal server the Touch starts to scan the harddisk for new music and album-art. This also takes around 1,5 / 2 minutes. So, total time before I can play music is around 5 minutes with a small library which will grow in the future. Is it possible to disable the scan for new music and album art? There aren't any new files and the total time is taking to long now before I can play music. Maybe there's a way to speed up the proces.
