+1. I've been using computers daily since my Apple II (what was that, 1979 or 80). I've NEVER reinstalled an operating system (but to be fair, I've rarely had a computer in use for more than maybe 4 years maximum, although I do still have the Apple II). I am a fan of using software to keep things "clean".
