I am in the business of software development, and have been for 20
years.
For applications and databases far more complex than squeezebox
software and database.
(As I said above to Garym)

What you are asking to me, is to spend unacceptable amount of time
testing what should more or less work fine out of the box.
I spent a lot of time with 7.5.0, 7.5.1 versions before deciding that
rescanning time (especially intempestive and unexpected rescanning)
made TinySBS unacceptable for my library.
That is not just me, we are a lot of people, some experienced in
software business, to agree.

I won't go through testing dozens of hard drives, comparing mp3s and
flac etc ...

I made the following test with 7.5.3 and 7.5.4 RC
- tried 3 different usb sticks of different brands.
- reformatted them (tried FAT32 and NTFS)
- added one single album, 6 flac files 16/44.1 no artwork

TinySBS scan the library, doesn't tell me if any file is found, and I
cannot find any track to read whatever mean I try (search, browse
folders, etc ...)
This is with 7.5.3 and 7.5.4 RC

Everything is fine with several albums on the usb stick if I use 7.6

So I won't loose my time any more with 7.5.x

I had a quick look at how the database id handled.
One example, the way SBS handles artwork is simply a nonsense for me.
So I guess there is massive improvement to expect in the way SBS and
its database is developed and organized.
