Also make sure that LMS is pointing to the correct folder on your USB hard drive. I use a laptop with USB and have never had any issues, but you do need to make sure you point to where the files are, that is in the LMS control panel. Also make sure there are any weird permissions issues, or firewall/virus scanner problems (you'll want to allow LMS in your firewall/virus program). And yeah make sure it's not still looking at the other server, on the SBT go to Change Library to find the correct LMS installation.
