I have a Touch that I use only with the SD card server but half of the time it doesn't work.
I just (safely) removed the SD card, put it in my netbook, put a new album on it, put it back in, had it start the server.... ...and now I can't connect to it. It will just fail to connect to the server that's running on the same device. So I try to stop it and start it again, and it still fails. Then I disconnect the power, reconnect, wait a few minutes... I go to "My Music", it starts connecting. It connects. I have to press "My Music" again. And again. Finally it loads the entire collection and I can use it. Sometimes the server will stop responding after the player has finished playing a track.
