It should but it doesn't . It's a very good player and I'm pleased with it that way .
But the onboard server feature is sort of an afterthought and not really well executed and it would be very hard to fix mostly because the very low amount of ram in the Touch etc , it's hardware is not really up to spec to run both server and player . A small subset should work after scan is finished ? You can help it by using well supported file formats mp3 or flac . Use a good folder structure artist/album/song , remove garbage cue or m3u files etc from the album folders .. Have only music on the card ! Be carefull with the tagging of the files . Don't use to big cover images , they may works best as jpg avoid bmp.
