One experiment done I pulled the power on my Touch ,when it was "off" with my off screensaver who is black screen .
Ok when power returned , it started up with the standard menu as you described . But due to previus experience I did not interact or Touched anything at all after some minutes or something it magically returned to it it's screen saver ! The key here is to actually not do anything with it . The server was running in the background it may have seized controlled and returned the player to what it should have been . But as you know this product is abandoned years ago and maintanance is done by a very small crew and enthusiast , so one can not really expect anything just be gratefull if someone fixes anything . You did know that the product is officially discontinued ? Or did you miss that . For a comunity developer the screensaver and power states are probably all work and no fun , and probably very complex too. I think it's historical the old SB player where very slim and basically the servers sock puppet so they could not do anything without the server ( the server quite literarily moved the pixels on the screen ) . Part of that model ,not always the rigth parts is preserved in the later products who could act more autonomously in theory but that's not done . -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
