It works for short breaks ,not long ones . So it does not work 100%

Not really *i use LMS all the time* as my mini server runs all the time
, mysquezzebox.com migth drop lost players faster .

There is in the player settings on the local server *"Power On Resume"
set to "Pause at power off / resume at power on"*
And ,important ! there is probably a similar setting on mysqueezebox.com
as many settings including player settings is per server ,
mysqueezebox.com is considered just another server in some aspects .
You can actually have different player settings on different servers and
you can have more than one server at home .
There is however a server setting in LMS to sync settings with
mysqueezebox.com this caries over some of the settings .

Or more likely as it sits on my local network and both server and player
have fixed ip in a very small (home) network both router and server
migth have all things in thier arp cache etc .
Relatively little is happening localy .

VS "the internet" between your player and mysb.com , a lot of things is
going on ! note for example mysqueezebox.com ip dynamically changing
every 5 seconds you can view that on the player .
So a dead player is probably more likely to drop of from "the internet"
and be lost in the wind .

However there could be a missing setting in another way .
-Do you need to change to mysqueezebox.com to use services or radio- ?
if so you migth have forgotten to input your mysqueezebox.com account
password into the local server .
If the local server is running you never need to change to use
mysqueezebox.com everything is avaible trough the server and the
mysqueezebox.com content/menu's is "proxied " by the local server .

Also "loosing network conection" you say ? do you have a somewhat flaky
network at home , that problem migth be something you actually can do
something about ?
As the product is not going to be more tolerant to not so perfect
network conditions any time soon .

What screensaver where you using ? I use the black screen for stopped
and off , i remember it to work with the clock too but it was a while
since used that ( i preserve screen life by not using it while not
playing music, if no that pesky backligth would come on now and then )

Next trail . I'll pulled the power from one of my players over night
lets see whats the screensaver is in the morning .

Oops I'm sloppy : facts I use a Touch connected via WiFi to test with
,actually my most flaky one where is see most screensaver bugs , I
contribute that to wifi . I recently moved and it's a really thick wall
and a bunch of closets in-between so I have not wired that one yet.
I usualy run ethernet to all players except my Radio as that one moves
around with me on battery

Our bugzilla is probably filled with similar bugs , but as you see it's
hard to produce conclusive symptoms not two people get exactly the same
issue .
"Sceensaver is flaky" is not much to go on for our friendly single
developer , so he probably go for some of thousands of other bugs that
have better facts logs and are easier to reproduce ( and more urgent if
this is your only problem your lucky )
Thats why I'm experimenting a bit .

Btw I do think the one about that it should start playing from power on
was debated long time ago and was not considered for some reason I cant
remember why ?
TRy reporting that one in Bugzilla and see where it goes
