OK, many thanks for your explanation and further tests.
I believe that what you noticed a few minutes after the power restore is
driven my the LMS on the external server.

In the case I described no external LMS was running and the Touch was
connected to mysb.com. In that case the Touch returned after the power
recovery to the main menu and not to the rest/standby menu (with the
clock).

I agree the Touch product (and likely its FW) is not under further
development already for quite some time. In fact the whole Touch,
Internet radio and streaming media portfolio of Logitech is
functionality almost dead:

If you need an extra server anyway to run the LMS separate (as I do on
an Acer netbook), have a better set-up
as follows:

- Run iTunes on your separate machine (in my case the Acer).
- You can power this up with WOL any time from an iPhone, iPad, Windows
phone.
- install your complete media library on the netbook or an attached (USB
powered) hard disk.
- hook this media all in the running iTunes library.
- Then on your mobile device: iPhone or iPad you see all this media as
well and can play it there.
- When you have then a bluetooth adapter (20 - 40 USB) connected to your
amplifier you can stream the audio as well to your amplifier! You can as
well now have iRadio on your idevice.

As such: a streaming device as the Touch (and any similar hardware for
streaming your audio collection) is in fact not needed anymore these
days.

You have as well the 'Match' option of Apple.
