I just did the last test (as per above) - and also in this case the outcome was: Touch showed first the general menu and then 1 minute later the Clock screensaver. Thus the final outcome is correct! My Overall Conclusion is, when using mysb.com as the server: 1) The Touch (with the Clock as screensaver) recovers nicely through its Power Down - Power Up cyle as long as the connection loss to mysb.com is short (X minutes). This is independently whether the router or ADSL modem kept its power or was also shut down for X minutes. 2) The Touch is not capable to recover correctly (to the Clock as screensaver) if the power down period of the Touch is much longer than X minutes (for instance several hours). It is likely that this is caused by the following: - When the Touch is losing its connection to mysb.com it will likely attempt several times to reconnect to mysb.com in the next several minutes after it lost the connection. If it is successful to reconnect then to mysb.com it recovers nicely (Clock screensaver is shown). - In case it is not able to reconnect to mysb.com within Y minutes, then it fully stops (!) the attempts to reconnect, gets stuck it its recover and doesn't return to the Clock screensaver. THUS THE 2 QUESTIONS TO THE DEVELOPER ARE: - What is the time period Y? - Why is the Touch stopping its recover attempts after several times and why will it not continue for instance every 15 minutes with another attempt (indefinitely) until the connection to mysb.com has been established successfully. *-And can this easily be corrected in the Code of the FW of the Touch?-* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Marc_S's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56681 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100406 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
