Update: - I carried out above test and kept the router continuously up. - Powered down the Touch and then the ADSL modem. - Then after 10 minutes powered up the modem first and then the Touch. Result: Touch showed first the general menu and then 1 minute later the Clock screensaver. Thus the final outcome is correct!
