Going directly out of my Macbook via USB straight into my DAC works great, even at 192. Before upgrading to a 192 capable DAC, I was playing 192 files just fine. Your point is interesting and has me thinking. I was previously going out of my SBT to a Peachtree DAC that was "adaptive" technology, only capable of 24/96. I just assumed that the info was getting all the way to the Peachtree "bit perfect" and then downsampled there. Which led me to believe that the wireless was working fine. Looking at the SBT diagnostics on the device interface, it shows the wireless signal at "100%" and the network health test passed successfully. Not sure how reliable those diagnostics are, but in theory, with a network and signal seemingly that healthy, then EDO is supposed to work, even at 192, right? At the same time, I am fully aware that there's a shared list of "compatible DACS" out there for a reason, with all different kinds of results from device to device. However, if there are tweaks that can be made beyond what I'm currently aware of, I'd like to explore it. If it involves entering commands and code and stuff like that, it's uncharted territory for me, but I might be willing to go for it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tdgruen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
