I have installed v.7.8.0-r16754 firmware and with LMS > Player > Audio > Volume Control set to "Volume controls adjust outputs" it works fine. :D I would add that sound quality from the MM-1's is much improved using USB (Triode's EDO app) rather than the headphone (line) output.
