But in this particular case it won't matter much as op is:

A.  not using the dac in the Touch , but what's included in the denon av
amp .

B. It is very likely that the denon do AD convert its analog inputs ,
thus whatever you do you will still listening to the denon DAC .

touch to Dac > DA conversion to analog in AD conversion > Denon > DA
conversion .

This has the potential to sound different if you manage to introduce
some artifacts ( noise and distortion ) at high enough level .
It also has the potential to be completely inaudible even if it's
nominally worse to do it like this .
