I can't comment on the compatibility with your DACs, but if they support DoP then you shouldn't need to upgrade so long as your version of LMS can deal with 176.4kHz or 192kHz files. DoP means you have DSD in a PCM container, so you can just use DoP FLAC files with all the usual tagging, etc. You just have to disable the volume control so it passes it bit-perfect, and you're done.
