Yes, exactly such statements qualifies the thread to the audiophile
section.
I don't believe you can really differentiate a solid DAC like the one in
SBT from a real expensive DAC in a blind test.
But hey, that's my opinion as a snake oil denier.
And so I added another statement by myself that should better be
discussed in the audiophool section.

Sorry but meanwhile I get really angry about all the snake oil
defenders, who bring other people to invest their hard earned money in
useless stuff. And we are not speaking about peanuts, it's a hell lot of
money we are talking bout.

On audio please trust science and not believe and please trust your ears
in a blind test!
And no, acoustic science and the understand of human hearing is not a
mostly unexplored area. These are two science area we know everthing
important (in terms of hearing music) since more than 50 years.
Why do so-called audiophiles believe that there is some kind of
unidentified mystical component in such a simple thing like our ears, in
a time there we explore the details of our genom.

But what I believe in, is the power of suggestion and the placebo
effect. So, I believe everyone how sense an improvement in a good
prepared demonstration of a snake oil dealer. And I believe that, if you
want to hear an improvement, you will hear it. That's the way our brain
is working, but NOT OUR EARS! It's pure placebo and suggestion.
