Buy a so called Ethernet switch , and use regular patch cables ( no
crossover ).

The simplest switches are unmanaged so plug in the cables and that's it
. Give everything unique IP and your done , no setup required in the
switch itself .

I would recommend something like the blue netgear switches 8 or 4 ports
for example , they cost nothing and are "professional " IE made for
small office use and made of sheet metal with absolutely no power saving
features or "green modes" .

There are small consumer switches to , looks nicer on a desktop made of
shiny plastic , but can have unnecessary features .
