I use powerplug ethernet in one location. 1. setup powerplugs (one at router, one at other location) 2. At second location, connect ethernet cable from powerplug to old wifi router (that I'm only using as a wifi access point, so DHCP is turned OFF in this router). I give this WIFI AP the same SSID and password as my main Router WIFI (so I can move throughout the house with no issues). Then in this old router, use one of the ethernet connections to run an ethernet cable to your SBT in that location. So now you have an extra WIFI access point and an ethernet connections for some things in that location. (NOTE: my powerplug doesn't have built in WIFI extender, thus the use of an old router to add this benefit along with serving as a switch for multiple ethernet connections).
To bet back to where you were, I'd just start over wite TP LInks, doing a factory reset or whatever. *Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win8(64) > LMS 7.9 > Squeezelite *Spares:* Transporter, Touch(3), Radio(3), Boom, SB3, CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng8 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106581 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
