Cloning IP addresses????? Huh?  I think you are making this all more
complicated than it needs to be. Adding an old router to act as a 2nd
WIFI Access point doesn't require any cloning are configuring both
routers the same way or any of that. Just make sure DHCP is OFF on
second router and make sure nothing is plugged into the WAN port of the
old router you're using as WIFI AP.
