I agree 100%. Trac can not be all things to all people, sometimes we just have to say "no, this is intended behaviour". Making every aspect of Trac configurable will just bloat the codebase, which it's already tending towards :( People need to learn the Wiki syntax for Trac, learning that the search box quickjumps is no different.
