I have used the GTRANS cable and a NUVI 350 on my ICOM 880 and it works
great.

 

But you have to reverse the tip and ring, or make a NULL modem adaptor.

 

It does NOT put other APRS stations on the 350 as waypoints however.

Not directly, but you can with the GTRANS cable. If the D-Star radio is 
one of those that uses a 2.5mm plug, you can use the Kenwood style 
GTRANS but you have to switch two wires.

GTRANS cables are currently out of stock. Some are due in by the end of 
the week, hopefully enough to cover existing orders.
