Well I guess I was going about it all wrong, when I sent a message to it
from, and to, my Kenwood TM710A, it worked as it should, I guess I did not
know how the messaging part worked, I thought one could send a message from
say UI-VIEW, to the Nuvi, and from the Nuvi to UI-VIEW, this appears not to
be the case, I guess I am too stupid to use APRS. I appreciate all the
effort that was put into working on with me, it's sad that I don't
understand the technical side of APRS, I did change the BMODE to Auto, I am
glad it is working though, as I plan to take it to a Boy Scout JOTA function
at our local Lake on the 17th to demonstrate what one can do with APRS.
imagine me doing that.

Good point - I don't have a clue what it does if A side is set to
Garmin. Maybe the T2 doesn't either :)

That is what I suspect, but I was not sure if that applied when
AMODE was set to Garmin.
