Paulette, If the patient is the insured, the claim is sent in the insured loop and there is not a separate patient loop, therefore you don't need loop 2000C.
The implementation guide is somewhat confusing in this area Read the noter on page 52. Loop 2300 and following can appear either right after loop 2010BD when the subscriber is the patient, or right after 2010CA (as in the guide) when the subscriber is not the patient.
