I think this topic has been discussed a few times, but I have a rather specific problem:
I am using Pootle at our school for a L10n course. Pootle is version 1.2, and it is installed in a plain user account on Linux with Apache proxying to port 80. During classes, Pootle will often grind to a halt, with 100% or close CPU utilization, but only 2% of the 2GB RAM (43MB currently) used - with only about ten users at work. I am not sure if these two figures are influencing each other, but if I can reduce CPU load through RAM, how can I get Pootle to use more of it? It does not seem to claim more by itself - or is this related to me running it from a user account? Any suggestions are highly welcome...
