As an aside, Pootle HAS made translation life a lot easier. I tried all three ways of translation, directly in the dtd files via hg etc, Narro and now Pootle and Pootle is the only one where translation is easy and I know for certain that my translations get committed. We have had what, about 10 versions come via Pootle now and not a single problem, Occitan has fully recovered since they were invited to Pootle (they specifically said they dropped off because the hg process was too complex)... and so on.
Of course our locale is a simple case of one translator doing all the work, organising more than one can be tricky, I can see that, but suggesting Pootle is totally at fault for creating some issues if a translation team working on two ends of the sausage is a little harsh, especially since I don't recall other locales having this problem (I may be mistaken there of course).
