Dear Mark, The luxembourg approval can be obtained with virtually any European approval so the possible change in Holland has no effect on that realy. In case you had applied for the Luxembourg approval based on a UK or German approval it would have been accepted without this peculiar voltage limiting requirement. I'm not aware of the requirement being dropped, though one explanation might be that pulsdialing itself is not required anymore, so you could get approved without the voltage limiting. In order for our products to satisfy = these requirements, additional circuitry was necessary. It has recently been brought to my attention that these requirements no = longer existed in Holland (because Holland is now primarily DTMF). Can = anyone confirm that these pulse dialing requirements no longer exist for = PSTN terminal equipment? Additionally, what, if any, does this rule change have on Luxembourg = PSTN TE approvals? (Before this change, approval in Luxembourg was = obtainable with a Holland approval.) Thank you, in advance, for any support provided. Sincerely, Mark Murphy Zoom Telephonics, Inc.
