Mark,
Way, way, way back into the memory banks, please forgive me but
I've been out of the PSTN stuff quite a while now. I seem to
recall that if you met the Norwegian wave-shaping requirements,
then you should also meet the Dutch ...clause 2.4.2 (coincidentally
in both spec's)?? (Guessing?) It should only take a little
circuitry. I don't know whether or not the spec's have changed
though. Let me know how this (and my memory) pans out.
Best regards,
Stephen C. Phillips

Subject: Wave-shaping/Mute circuitry for Holland Pulse Dialing
Dear treg members,
Until recently Holland had wave-shaping (Mute) requirements for terminal =
equipment attached to the PSTN. In order for our products to satisfy =
these requirements, additional circuitry was necessary.
It has recently been brought to my attention that these requirements no =
longer existed in Holland (because Holland is now primarily DTMF). Can =
anyone confirm that these pulse dialing requirements no longer exist for =
PSTN terminal equipment?
Additionally, what, if any, does this rule change have on Luxembourg =
PSTN TE approvals? (Before this change, approval in Luxembourg was =
obtainable with a Holland approval.)
Thank you, in advance, for any support provided.
Sincerely,
Mark Murphy
