If your equipment is telecom equipment intended for the Bell Operating
Company environment, section 12.1.3.1.E.2 of Bellcore GR-499 (Issue 1, Dec.
1995) states requirements for sharp edges for corners and exposed edges.
Specifically it requires that "All corners that are permanently exposed
after installation completion, which may be handled, touched, or bumped by
craftspeople, shall be rounded to an approximate radius of 0.25 inch.
Circuit boards and other components that must be handled shall have rounded
corners. Exposed edges, such as those on metal work, shall be smothed.
Burrs and rough spots shall be removed."
