> DGCA (Direzione Generale per le Concessioni ed Autorizzazioni)

There was a change in July 96 with the publication of the Decree n.166
     24/03/95.
     The IGT doesn't exist anymore.
The Central Office of the Ministry of Communications (it changed the
name from Min. of Post and Telecommunications) that is responsible for
the Telecom Approvals (pan-European and National) is DGCA.

The ISPT, designed lab under the 91/263/EEC (Istituto Superiore delle
Poste e delle Telecomunicazioni) changed the name in "Istituto
Superiore delle Comunicazioni e delle Tecnologie dell'Informazione"

Ministero delle Poste e delle Telecomunicazioni ---> Ministero delle
     Comunicazioni

IGT ---> DGCA - Viale America 201 00144 Roma Italy

ISPT ---> Istituto Superiore delle Comunicazioni e delle Tecnologie
     dell'Informazione - Viale Europa 190 00144 Roma Italy

     Regards,

Has there been a change recently, as in Germany, or is this a subdivision
of the Ispettorato Generale delle Telecomunicazioni (IGT) ???

DGCA is not the agency listed in the Mutual Recognition Agreements
as the Italian Approval Authority. It may well be the body that does the
actual work, as in Germany did the BZT.

This is all useful information if it is correct, as obviously, a lot of
documentation
publicly available is outdated (as the German changes are not yet reflected
in
various documents).

Ciao,

Vic
