> We on this side of the world are not guiltless ourselves. ...........we had the draft harmonized FCC Part 68 which was paralled by the ISDN report and a new TSB 31B all of which came to some semblance of cohesion only on or around April 15, 1998.
Rae, The first TSB31 led me to form the TR41.9/TAPAC TTF group to harmonize Part 68 and CS03, after I got TR41.7 to take on the job of harmonizing UL1459 and CSA225 with IEC950. I knew that the committees would take long, I never expected that it would take THAT long. Fortunately, life goes on while committees deliberate and there is no straight line from the point of departure to the stated objective. (Over that period of time, the objective even may change). In any event, all this is what sailors know as "tacking to the wind". I expect that the two Directives are some form of tacking to the wind, I am curious about them winds though. Ciao, Vic
