Scott, EN60950 may have been changed to cover all voltages below 1000vdc, but it's a standard, not the Directive. And standards are not required for compliance with the Directive (i.e. it's possible - albeit difficult and risky -- to comply with the Directive without ever having used a standard). I would suggest, however, that you are offering the best risk management solution in proffering the standard as the best guidance for compliance with the Directive (unless implementation of the standard becomes a logistical nightmare for the equipment).
