Levi, I agree 100%, and to me mexapixels don't matter as well. But this is
Palm, all-marketing and thin on features. And John Doe associates megapixels
with picture quality unfortunately (and that's why Palm follows the
rich-on-marketing-low-on-features route).

The Zire 72 took crappy 1.3 mexapixel pictures while the Zire 71 took much
better 0.3 megapixel pictures in similar settings and conditions.

The Treo 650 and 680 did not improve in quality, in fact I have an old Zire 71
and I believe it still takes the best (least bad) pictures of all the Palm
devices I tried.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the Treo 700p and 755p take pictures
just as crappy as the Zire 72.

Please give me a Palm that takes quality pictures? Damn, let it be 1 megapixel,
but add auto-focus and better low-light support!

Palm released the 755p and BlackBerry released a phone with a camera, better
multimedia support like the Pearl and a full QWERTY keyboard. Guess who is on
the right track and who's headed to Neverland...

Sandro, you probably know this already, but it's not about the megapixels!
It's more about the sensor size, sensor quality, and the optics (lens) than
resolution. Resolution is important when you want to print large images. A
1-megapixel camera will not make very good 8x10 (let alone larger) prints, but
once you get to 3-6MP, it shouldn't matter. Even poster-sized images can look
really good with a good 6MP source image...
