Certainly, Chatter can delete messages from server when deleted from the Treo.
Chatter and Snapper both support POP and IMAP, and will synchronize email (including deletions on server +/or client), depending on client settings. I use Chatter to consolidate Earthlink POP, Yahoo POP and Fastmail IMAP accounts seamlessly in one set of SD card folders. I gave up on Snapper despite my lifetime support license because of its chronic DB corruption issues and snail-paced maintenance releases.
