Yep.  I view it as like getting a haircut when my hair's gotten too
long.  Metaphors abound!

I don't just do it arbitrarily - Palm usually keeps the new devices
coming fast enough that I end up installing from scratch every year or
so. . .

I do that every 3-4 months. Even using an uninstall manager, I always 
wind up with *stuff* that I don't need. The first few times I did it, I 
was nervous as could be, worried I couldn't get things back the way I 
liked 'em, etc. Now I view it as cathartic.
