That the tier 3 tech support said the 680 requires a 3G SIM to function
reliably. That would point the AT&T system alone at the present time. That
doesn't explain why your 680 has been reliable. It also doesn't make sense
in view of the fact that Palm's technical specs do not say anything about
requiring a 3G SIM or that the 680 isn't even 3G-capable.
