Ms. Brenda Sent via my Treo 680 on TMobile -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subj: [Treo] Fwd: I'm leaving the Palm OS behind Date: Sat Oct 6, 2007 5:45 pm Size: 12K To: [email protected] The Treo 680 I got nearly 3 weeks ago has given me fits. It's unstable, freezes often, reboots spontaneously. The Bluetooth connects to my headset unreliably and Bluetooth Hotsync seems not to be possible. Palm tier 3 support says most of these conditions aren't fixable and the Palm Store and Palm corporate are both behaving badly. I have had Palm devices for nearly 10 years but now I think I'm near the end of that rope. I think I'm going to have to return the 680 for a refund and try a Blackberry in hopes that it's become popular enough so that I can find 3rd party apps. to meet some critical needs. My main use of the Palms has been contacts and the calendar, both of which I sync with my PC. I absolutely depend on the sync to keep me up-to-date on my appointments, especially during tax season when my assistant is making most of the approintments. That also means the desktop software must sharable over my peer-to-peer network. I'm not at all interested in doing e-mail. DateBk5 and TAKEphONE have been extremely importants apps. for me and I will hate giving them up. I've tried posting on the BB Yahoo group with the most members but there are very few posts and no one there seems to be interested in responding to my queries. The Treo group has been very active, energetically expert and extremely helpful to me. I'm hoping there are people here who have had some experience with BB and can give me some feedback on how I can meet my needs with it once I leave the Palm OS behind. -- Larry Hess, CPA | Albuquerque, NM [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
