I've done it all exact;y as you describe.

Is yours a GSM? Does the Bluetooth work correctly? Mine only works right
when the Hands Free preference to Always route call to Hands-Free.
Otherwise, I am only occasionally able to manually transfer a call between
the handset to the Bluetooth headset. That issue has been confirmed as
unsolvable by a tier 3 support person at Palm Tech Support. And I have been
unable to get Bluetooth to Hotsync. The error message says the serial port
is already in use by another app. That, too, was confirmed by the support
guy as a known issue. There's an KB article that describes exactly, but
offers a solution only for the Tungsten E2. Unfortunately, the 680 doesn't
have controls described.
