My 680 has been vastly superior to my 650 in at least two ways:
    = 680 can consistently make calls, with fewer bars, than the 650. I 
don't know the actual technical reason, but it seems to lock weaker 
signals much better than the 650.
    = it seems more stable than the 650, even before I installed the 
custom ROM - which made it measurably faster.

(I've gotta say this: It does seem a little tacky on a Treo forum to 
answer a Treo question with a promo for Blackberry.)
