I occasionally get that error trying to synce my T650 on WinXP laptop. If a
different USB port does the same I just reboot the laptop. So far that's worked
for me.

re-installing the desktop, switching cables... I tried manually installing
the driver - palmusb.inf when the Windows error pops up but that didn't
work.
I am traveling and this is deadly. Plz help.
