Just to avoid future confusion... A hard reset is initiating the reset whilst holding the power button, letting go after the Palm logo appears, and thus erasing all data, restoring it to factory settings.
Resetting via software or removing the battery without holding any buttons (while plugged in or not) is merely a soft reset. Resetting while holding the up key is a warm reset, and akin to booting a pc into safe mode. Ralph Alvy wrote: > Good.
