I think the reason for Treos outnumbering crackberries among solo and small firm lawyers is that crackberries imply an enterprise email and calendaring system such as Groupwise or other exchange based server, whereas most solo and small firm lawyers are syncing to Palm Desktop, Outlook or practice management software such as Amicus, PCLaw or TimeMatters.
I didn't actually count the last time the ABA Solo & Small Firm gang got together. I also think there's a tendency to notice more people who have 'your' device than another one.
