Hi N

I am really pleased for you (and I really mean that)

If you have been satisfied then you have had far better customer
satisfaction than I have, and I genuinely hope it continues.

All I can say is that I have had 4 different models over a number of years
and one way or another, have been disappointed with each and every one of
them.

Over the years I have stuck with Palm because

1/. - it was primarily a PDA with the convenience of a phone (for all its
faults)

2/. - the OS and apps were far better than anything else available (tried an
O2 XDA with Pocket Windows briefly and they weren't in the same street)

3/. - most importantly - there seemed to be no viable alternative

After my experience with the 650 repair I vowed that I would never put
another penny in Palms coffers but the TomTom deal finally swung it (little
did I know the battery would only last a day)

Therefore I have to ask myself, was it the fact that there was no viable
alternative the reason that Palm seemed to consistently screw up what worked
fine and was it a deliberate attempt to keep us in the loop for upgrades or
was it merely due to gross incompetence on the part of the designers who
insisted in starting with a blank sheet for each new model.

You decide!

What I do know is they defiantly did not have a policy of 'don't fix what
ain't broke'

Now I haven't come back into this group to bash Palm. All I have done is to
do a bit of research and at the same time, tell the truth according to my
experiences.

Now when someone tries to close me down (as Ali did) then that is red rag to
a bull.

I will rear up and tell it like I see it, consequently the re-titling of the
thread.

If this group is all about preaching the Palm Gospel to the converted, then
obviously there is no place for me here and I will leave you all in peace.

If it about sharing ones experience with Palm over the years (for good or
bad, and for all to see), then I am happy to pass on mine.

Your call moderator!

Kind Regards

Jomo

P.S - and Big Thanks to Roger for giving me an alternative.
