What set us off were rants about the Blackberry which was posted one after the
other. One
post was even blank, which I hope was done accidentally.

To make it clear, we can discuss *anything* that's related to the Treo: it's
OS, hardware,
and accessories. Let me say an analogy: here we are talking about the various
qualities of
wine then from out of nowhere someone decides to insist that we try soda. It
sounds crazy
but that post disrupted the discussion.

So again, and as Levi has posted, it may be criticism, but the way the posts
came out one
after the other, they sounded more like blasts.

Moderation is always *temporary* to account for the fact that moderators *may*
be wrong.
We are only doing it to make it convenient for present and future Treo owners
to read
information about the Treo. Moderation can easily be lifted.

As someone has correctly pointed out, there are other forums for the Blackberry
or for any
device for that matter. The discussion can be put there.

Thanks,
Joel

of Palm or PalmOS become off-topic. That doesn't seem very open to me. Now if
someone has come on simply to blast and criticize and that's all they do, well,
then that
starts sounding like a Troll, but criticism in and of itself and a debate about
another
platform being better than PalmOS, well, that's just open discussion. It is
very relevant to
Palm/PalmOS, although Palm/PalmOS adherents may not like to hear such
criticism. What
blurs this significantly is that Palm itself has been selling Windows Mobile
devices for a
couple of years now under the Treo brand. So wouldn't the choice of which OS
to get on
your Treo phone be relevant? And if that's relevant, why not compare to other
platforms?
Alli, maybe you are a comoderator here, I can't remember. I know Craig is.
And whatever
you guys say goes, but if you truly are going to censor this group when PalmOS
is
criticized (or other platforms are lauded) too much for your taste, to me this
becomes a
not particularly open place anymore. Perhaps that's what you want, though, for
this to be
a place simply for loyal PalmOS fans, and that's fine, but if that's the case,
please confirm
it so those who don't fit this mold can go elsewhere.
