You have to follow the instructions closely! Download QuickInstall on your computer Connect your phone to the computer and select "Charge Only"
Put your phone in the "development mode" type in the keyboard upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart This is not a joke! This puts the Palm Pre in the development mode. It will reset! You may have to umplug the cable and re connect. again choose the charge only mode. This will allow QuickInstall to talk to your Phone! When you get QuickInstall running there is 3 boxed on the right side of the screen. Click on the bottom box. At the top of the menu you will see a dropdown list of the available programs. Brouse ariund in there! Click on the Files Menu and you will fins Themes and Patches that can be installed The first two things you want to install is "Preware" and "DevMode Launcher" DEVMODE will let you turn the development mode on/off without all of the typing! Preware will let you install most of all the stuff available for the PRE without a usb connection!
