Hi everyone, my Pre finally came on Friday and I have been fooling with it for a few days now. I have the Pre, Treo 750 and iPhone 3GS. It also downloaded an update, 1.21 I think it was.
So far with my limited experience I do like the Pre and from also having an iPhone, found it super easy to use right out of the box. Many gestures, syncing with iTunes and other things are either very similar or even the same between the two. I do have a few questions I hope someone can help me with. This is really a Sprint question but I requested my number show up as blocked when I make calls. Is there a code I can enter before a number to unblock it now and then? With ATT and the iPhone you enter *31# before the number and it will unblock for only that call. I have AIM messaging set up and also get sms/mms from friends. Do I need to keep the messaging app open to receive them or can I flick it off the screen and it will still alert me when I have something? The same about email which I am still setting up. How do people open their keyboard? I have a hard time opening mine. Do I use one hand or both hands? I try one handed by putting my thumb on the front bottom edge and pushing up but its hard to do.
