For a while now, in preparation for my migration to a Pre on Verizon, I've
moved my Contacts and Calendar to Google, from Outlook on my laptop at work.
I am using CompanionLink for Google as the conduit. For now, it syncs just
fine with my iTouch at home... and I anticipate that it will do the same
when I get my Pre. I have not even bothered to try to sync my Centro with
the cloud... not worth the hassle since it syncs fine still with Hotsync and
a cable (but you have to close CompanionLink in order to do so).

I was at first a bit hesitant to go to the cloud... but since I experimented
first with the iTouch and Google and it's working fine, I'm actually liking
it a lot. It will be fantastic with the Pre... and the Touchstone... no need
for cables to sync! I was concerned at first that my tasks and memos
wouldn't sync... but I have found that Evernote is actually a much better
way to manage both of those... and that too is via the cloud. Perfect!! In
fact, Evernote provides so much more to helping me organize and maintain my
life than just tasks and memos... it is truly a great solution.

So... I've done my homework, my prep work... and I'm anticipating that my
transition to the Pre will be quick and flawless. I'll let everyone know how
it goes in about a week or so!!

I hope that helps.

Good luck.

Jim
