Jim, Great description of your preparations...thanks for sharing. In case anyone is trepidatious about migrating from Palm Desktop to the cloud, such as when upgrading to a Pre or Pixi, Palm provides an excellent migration app that will upload all your contacts and/or calendar entries to Google (assuming you have a Google account) and sync them to the Pre from then on out. It works really well, IMO...very simple and straightforward.
